I'm apparently one of the lucky people who is intolerant to gluten. Now, I normally eat loosely paleo (I eat some dairy and a fair amount of tubers, and wine) and feel pretty damn good. On climbing trips (most weekends) I'll indulge and pizza and beer, and don't normally feel any worse for wear for it.

Posting another recipe today, but my regular tirades on my usual subjects should resume soon. In the meanwhile I keep coming across other things I want to share. For those of you who are really strict about it this one is not Paleo because of the inclusion of the cheese and milk. However it is really good, arguably healthy, and pretty straight forward to make.

Spring is apparently here. For most people this seems to be a positive thing, personally I always kind of dread it. I really love my winter sports and this means that the ice climbing and skiing season is really coming to an end. That said, it does have certain advantages. One if which is that the bakes I make for breakfast become a regular thing again.

I realize that saying people should take responsibility for their actions is nothing new, or terribly original on my part. But I'm still shocked at just how far it goes. So here is my question to all of you. At what point do social welfare and personal responsibility intersect?

So it seems a lot of the more “mainstream” Internet health and fitness circles have been discussing a recentYahoo article called “The 20 worst healthy foods in the supermarket. A friend of mine sent it to me, and I grudgingly read it. To be honest, I expected to roll my eyes at it, and feel I’d completely wasted the time I spent on it. I was pleasantly surprised.

A friend of mine's family member recently sent an email cut and paste of CBS News piece. It's been quoted in several of the popular online new sites besides CBS and links to a WebMB article on "10 Diet Myths".

Now, some of the advice here isn't bad. A lot of what is given is even what is supported by studies....
